THE LIFTLOG SERVICE

Whilst the installation of the LiftLog™ is the necessary first step to acquire RQM's LiftLog Service, our offering extends well beyond the collection of data. RQM combines years of knowledge about lifts with modern high-end technology, to provide a flexible and extensive reporting service.

Before reaching the RQM database, the messages* sent by LiftLog™ are received, validated and queued in a local database, after which they are called by a retrieval application. The RQM database is hosted on a cloud-based server, the physical storage spanning multiple servers and locations.

Within RQM's database management system, the LiftLog™ events are received, interpreted, and organised for reporting. To allow for maximum flexibility, no data interpretation is performed by the LiftLog™ itself. Instead, a series of advanced algorithms are in place to combine, in various ways, the raw events registered by the LiftLog™. Simultaneously, any such compound events can be verified and broken down into its source events, which are just as readily available for viewing.

Reports are provided through the reporting platform My RQM. The customer will be given access to his or her personal data through various reports, which can be customized according to needs. The reports include everything from a yearly performance overview to more detailed running, maintenance and event statistics. The customer can also see the latest lift events in real time. Click here for a list of the various events that the LiftLog™ collects.

There is a high degree of redundancy already built into the dedicated cloud server. Aside from that, regular file backups are taken along with even more frequent image-based backups, so as to minimise the consequences in the unlikely event of data loss.

* A LiftLog™ message (or event) is a time stamped string of data, marking the occurrence of various lift events, such as door movement, car runs, the pressing of the emergency button, or the detection of movement in the machine room.
